Isabel Tenney is a 15 year old high school student who has been dancing since 3, but started training more seriously at the age of 11. She was Princess Florine in Sleeping Beauty and danced as a soloist for Paquita and La Bayadere’s jug dance.
Isabel is currently studying at The Forrest Academy of Ballet pre-professional. She was a 2017 Suffolk Dance Ambassador and she is now a Discount Dance Ambassador and a model for Matryoshka Tutus #exclusivelyyours and Discount Dance model. She has spent her summers at various intensives, including BBASI, ABT, Ellison Ballet, FABSI, and Open World Dance Foundation.
Isabel is a student of Dwight Global online. In addition to her classes, she participates in Model UN, the writing club, Debate, Global Issues Network, leadership club, and the school newspaper. Writing is one of her favorite things to do when she’s not dancing! Isabel posts her pieces onto a site called Teen Ink that publishes them online. For her poetry pieces, short stories, and essays, Isabel received five editor’s choice awards. She is also greatly interested in physiology and debate. She has participated in community service for her local food pantry and plays violin for charity events at her local high school.
