Did you know ballet dancers are as strong as olympic swimmers?
Researchers compared ballet dancers to swimmers in the UK (some olympic swimmers) and found that ballet dancers were MORE FIT than the swimmers!! They looked at strength, endurance (how long an athlete can perform), balance, flexibility and even their psychological fitness or the ability to stay mentally fit while doing grueling exercises.
So who says ballet is for sissies?
Get fit with some of these exercises you can do on your own and if you want to add ballet to it, when it feels really hard or your muscles are burning like crazy, just put on a beautiful pleasant face and show no signs of it being hard!
